Weekend Nanny - Rancho Santa Fe, CA

Active family in Rancho Santa Fe is seeking consistent weekend help. They have a 17 month old girl and baby boy on the way due in July! Both parents work full time and they have a wonderful full time nanny who works with them during the week, they would love to have some time on the weekends to go play golf or run a few errands kid free. Their ideal candidate is familiar with the Reggio Emilia approach, is active and into healthy eating, will engage their daughter in stimulating activities and outings, and brings a calm and nurturing energy. The position will eventually include caring for both kids, likely several months after the new baby is born.

Schedule:

Flexible on exact schedule, but family would like to decide on a consistent weekly schedule with the nanny. They are open to 5-10 hours per weekend, so could be just 5 hours one day (Saturday or Sunday) or up to 10 hours over both days (5 hours Saturday and 5 hours Sunday). They like to have family dinner so hours would be in the late morning - afternoon.

Rate:

$35 per hour, open to paying on payroll

Responsibilities:

Provide loving, nurturing care for 17 month old girl. All typical childcare responsibilities such as diapering, engaging her in developmentally appropriate activities, playing out in the backyard or going on local outings to the park and library, following her nap schedule (currently naps twice a day. Prepare and feed her meals and snacks as applicable. They are open to the nanny driving her to local activities, they prefer if the nanny can use their own car with a mileage reimbursement, but are potentially open to providing a car. They value learning and being active and are a sporty family, so they would love someone who will be really active with her! The role will evolve once the new baby is born, family and nanny will communicate about any changes in responsibilities as things evolve.

Requirements:

5+ years of professional childcare experience including experience with infants and toddlers

Calm, nurturing, warm presence

Active and engaging

Infant/Child CPR certified

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Trustline Registered or willing to register

Able to work legally in the US
