Part-Time Nanny - Solana Beach, CA
Proactive, energetic, long term nanny needed for sweet family in Solana Beach! They have one 15 month old girl and are hoping to have a second child in the next year. Their ideal nanny is someone who takes pride in their role in their daughter’s development and will present and engaged with her. They would also love someone who enjoys cooking and wouldn’t mind meal prepping during naps or when Mom is able to take over childcare. They prioritize safety and need someone who is willing to stay up to date on vaccines including Covid, Flu, tdap, and RSV. Mom is not currently working and will be in and out of the house, she tries to stay out of the nanny’s way if she is home. Dad works full time both from home and in office. This is a long term opportunity for the next 2-3 years with potential to add more hours up to full time in the future.
Location:
Solana Beach, CA
Schedule:
20 hours per week, flexible to be anywhere from 3-5 days per week
Flexible for date nights with advance notice
Potential to add more hours if Mom goes back to work or they have their second child
Rate:
$28-$30 per hour DOE, paid on payroll
Benefits:
Guaranteed hours, paid vacation, paid sick days and holidays
Start Date:
Flexible between April and June 2026
Children in the home:
Girl, 15 months - She is just getting the hang of walking and is transitioning down to one nap per day. She loves to read, dance, be outside and go on outings to local parks and the beach

Responsibilities:
Typical toddler care duties such as diapering, preparing and feeding meals and snacks, putting her down for naps. Playing and engaging with her in developmentally appropriate activities and working towards milestones. Taking her on local outings to the park, beach, library, etc. Light household duties related to the child such as keeping her room and play areas tidy, cleaning up after meal times, child laundry, etc. Ideal candidate will be proactive and willing to help with some meal prep and other light tidying or organizing during her nap time.
Requirements:
3+ years of professional childcare experience, must have prior experience with infants and toddlers
Strong knowledge of child development and a passion for working with children
Calm, nurturing, creative, energetic, and proactive
Vigilant and safety conscious
Up to date on vaccines
Infant/Child CPR certified
Able to make a long term commitment of 2-3 years
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Trustline Registered or willing to register
Able to work legally in the US
