Part-Time Nanny - San Marcos, CA

A warm, Christian faith-centered family in San Marcos is seeking a loving and trustworthy nanny who will become a meaningful and supportive presence in their home. They value kindness, health, learning, creativity, and emotional development, and are looking for someone who genuinely loves children and feels called to help nurture and guide them with care. This position includes hands-on childcare responsibilities such as planning engaging activities, reading, teaching early learning concepts, supporting language development, facilitating outdoor play and social interaction, preparing healthy meals, maintaining child-related organization and cleanliness, and helping establish healthy rhythms throughout the day. Must be comfortable with supporting the family’s faith based routines such as reading Christian/Bible related books to the child, family prayers, and religious holiday traditions.

Location:

San Marcos, CA

Schedule:

3 weekdays per week from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (flexible to discuss which 3 days)

One evening per week from 6:00–10:00 p.m. for date night

25 hours per week guaranteed

Rate:

$35-$40 per hour DOE, paid on payroll

Responsibilities:

● Provide attentive, loving, and development-focused care for the child throughout the day

● Create and maintain a consistent and supportive daily routine

● Plan and lead engaging educational, creative, and play-based activities

● Encourage language development, communication, curiosity, and early learning

● Read books, teach age-appropriate concepts, and support emotional and social growth

● Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the child throughout the day

● Maintain cleanliness and organization of child-related spaces including toys, books, kitchen areas, and activity spaces

● Facilitate outdoor activities including park visits, bike rides, walks, and social interaction with other children

● Communicate regularly with parents regarding activities, behavior, milestones, and any concerns

● Model positive values, respectful communication, kindness, patience, and a nurturing presence in the home

Requirements:

5+ years of professional childcare experience

Early Childhood education credits, degree in Child Development, or other related field is preferred

Patient, nurturing, and engaging

Flexible and adaptable, able to take direction

Comfortable working in a home with cameras

Infant/Child CPR certified

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Trustline Registered or willing to register

Able to work legally in the US

Able to commit for 1 year

Spanish or French speaking is a bonus

Prior teaching experience is a bonus
