Part-Time Nanny - La Jolla, CA

Busy family in the Bird Rock neighborhood of La Jolla is seeking a part-time nanny to support a SAHM. They have 3 wonderful girls ages 5, 4, and 2. Their ideal candidate is warm, patient, has strong knowledge of child development, and is a proactive go-getter. Must truly love children and view working with children as more of a calling than just a job. They would love for this to be a long term position for years to come!

Location:

La Jolla, CA

Schedule:

Monday - Friday 2pm - 7pm

or

4 weekdays 2pm - 7pm and one weekend day (likely earlier in the day for the weekend day)

25 hours per week.

Rate:

$30-$35 per hour DOE, paid on payroll

Benefits:

Guaranteed hours, paid sick days and holidays. Open to PTO for a long term commitment.

Children in the home:

Girl, 5 - Attends kindergarten

Girl, 4 - Attends preschool 5 days per week

Girl, 2 - At home with Mom

Pets in the home:

None. Family might get a dog at some point.

Responsibilities:

Assist Mom with the afternoon routine including school pick ups and extracurricular activities. The nanny will likely start out mainly caring for the 2 year old while Mom handles the older girls with pick up and driving to activities, then over time the nanny might be more involved with the older girls after school routine. On Fridays parents would like to have a weekly date night, so the nanny will help with dinner and bedtime routine for the girls. Weekend mornings the nanny would be an extra set of hands for parents.

Requirements:

3+ years of professional childcare experience, ideally experienced with ages 2-5 and working with a family with 3 children

Infant/Child CPR certified

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Self-motivated, proactive, and able to keep up with a busy household!

Trustline Registered or willing to register

Able to work legally in the US
