Part-Time Nanny - La Jolla, CA
Energetic, part-time nanny needed for a bright and creative 9 year old boy who is PDA Autistic and ADHD. He is transitioning to homeschool this year so the family needs some extra support while Mom and Dad work. They will have a separate tutor for his homeschooling, this will be strictly a nanny role. Their ideal candidate is experienced working with neurodivergent kids and/or is neurodivergent themself. This position will be short term as the family is planning to relocate sometime in early 2026.

Schedule:
Family can offer 25 hours per week
M, Th, F 9am - 2pm or 3pm (nanny’s choice)
Tuesday 12pm - 4pm
Wednesday 11am - 3pm
Rate:
$35-$40 per hour DOE

Boy, 9 - He is Autistic and ADHD with a PDA profile. Some anxiety and sensory issues. Now that they are switching to homeschool he is a lot more calm as school was a lot of pressure for him. He likes his nanny to be very engaged with him and do things together, he does not play by himself. He loves to play legos, hot wheels, watch YouTube kids.

Responsibilities:
Engaging with him in his preferred activities, preparing lunch and snacks. He requires a lot of attention and can be a little more intense than typical kids his age so it takes more mental energy - being his constant 1:1 providing undivided attention and fully participating and engaging in whatever games/activities he wants to do. He is allowed some screen time, he will want the nanny to watch with him. No driving required, care will take place in their home at this point.
Requirements:
3+ years of professional childcare experience, including some experience with neurodivergent kids
Patient, calm presence, able to remain calm during meltdowns
Able to commit for 4-6 months
Infant/Child CPR Certified
Trustline Registered or willing to register
Able to work legally in the US
