Part-Time Nanny/Family Assistant - Del Sur/4S Ranch, San Diego

Lovely family of 5 is seeking a loving, dedicated nanny/family assistant to be Mom’s right hand! They have 3 sweet little ones ages 1.5, 3.5 and 5.5. The oldest is in full day kindergarten and the 3 year old goes to half day preschool MWF. Mom is stay-at-home, but does work from home part time and needs someone who can engage and care for the kids as well as support the family with light housekeeping/household tasks. If you are patient, gentle yet firm with boundaries, and come to work with a can-do attitude, this is the job for you! They are looking for someone who will stay long term and become part of the family. 

Location:

Del Sur/4S Ranch, San Diego, CA

Schedule and Hours:

3 days per week, preferred schedule is Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday from 12:30-6:30. There is some flexibility on the days, but Thursday is a must. 

Rate:

$25 per hour

Responsibilities:

Work alongside Mom to care for the kids and keep the household running smoothly. An example day might be: Arrive and start by tidying up the kids rooms, make their beds, fold and put away their laundry. Load the dishwasher, tidy the kitchen. During this time Mom might be feeding the younger kids lunch (oldest will still be at school) and then putting the baby down for a nap. Once the baby goes down, Mom will work while the nanny engages the 3 year old (take her out to the park, play in the yard, do an arts and crafts project, etc.) Tag team with Mom for the rest of the afternoon/evening to care for the kids and tend to the household needs. Flexibility to switch between childcare and household tasks is important as well as strong communication skills and ability to take direction.They live within walking distance to a lot of parks so no driving will be needed. Must be comfortable giving the baby a bath. 

Requirements:

2+ years experience as a nanny, experience working with ages 1-5 

Reliable and willing to make a long term commitment 

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate 

Infant/Child CPR certified

Trustline registered or willing to register

Willing to submit to a background check

Bonus if you speak Spanish
