Part-Time Nanny - Carmel Valley, San Diego, CA

Loving and engaging nanny needed for 2 sweet girls (ages 3 and 1) in Carmel Valley! Both parents are typically working from home and the 3 year old attends preschool 5 days per week. The nanny will mainly be in charge of care for the 1 year old. Ideal candidates will be highly experienced with the toddler and preschool ages groups, have a warm and loving disposition, and be proactive with activities and working on development. This is a long term opportunity, the family would love to find someone who can commit to 2 years.

Location:

Carmel Valley neighborhood, San Diego, CA

Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 25 - 30 hours per week. Exact schedule is flexible, but must be able to work a full day on Mondays and in the afternoon on Thursdays.

Rate:

$35-$40 per hour DOE, paid on payroll

Girl, 3 - Attends preschool 5 days per week

Girl, 1 - Will be the nanny’s main responsibility

Responsibilities:

All basic childcare for 1 year old including preparing and feeding meals, diapering, following her nap schedule. Engage her in developmentally appropriate play and activities, sing, read, and talk to her to stimulate development. When the 3 year old is home from preschool, caring for both girls and engaging them in play together. Potentially taking the children on local outings to the park or library. Child related household tasks such as children’s laundry, keeping the kitchen tidy after meals, keeping their bedrooms and play areas tidy and organized.

Requirements:

3+ years of professional childcare experience including experience with toddlers and preschoolers

Patient, nurturing, and engaging

Can plan fun crafts and sensory activities, able to engage both girls in activities

Child CPR certified

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Trustline Registered or willing to register

Able to work legally in the US

Able to commit long term, ideally for 2 years
