Part-Time Family Assistant - Cardiff, CA

Wonderful family in Cardiff is in need of a very part-time family assistant to help them keep their household running and take some tasks off of their plate. They have two boys ages 4 years and 15 months old, Mom works outside of the home and Dad stays home with the kids. They are seeking help with mostly household responsibilities such as laundry, meal planning/prepping and grocery shopping, keeping the home stocked with supplies, etc. Their ideal candidate is also comfortable caring for the boys on occasion if needed for a parent to go to an appointment or something planned ahead of time. Parents really cherish their family time and would like to outsource some of these everyday tasks so they can focus their time and energy on the boys while they have this sweet time with them as littles!

Cardiff By The Sea, CA

Schedule:

Open to offering 8-12 hours per week

Flexible schedule Monday - Friday, open to 3-5 days per week

Rate:

$25 per hour, paid on payroll

Boy, 4 - He attends preschool M,W,F

Boy, 15 months

The family assistant will not regularly be responsible for childcare. Parents like the Good Inside philosophy of Dr. Becky and always try to lead with kindness.

2 elderly dogs

Responsibilities:

Exact responsibilities to be discussed and agreed upon with candidates, but looking for someone who is willing to: grocery shop, meal plan and prep, run errands as needed, do household laundry, load/unload dishwasher when needed, maintain household inventory of items like toilet paper and cleaning supplies, general household tidying and organization. Essentially being an extra set of hands to help maintain the household so parents can have some of their time back to spend with their boys. Occasional childcare for something specific like a parent needing to go to an appointment.

Requirements:

Proactive, self-starter who can manage their time well

Experience with some childcare of ages 1-4

Confident in the kitchen/meal prep and cooking skills

Able to commit long term

Valid Driver’s License, reliable vehicle, and clean driving record

Trustline registered or willing to register

Able to work legally in the US
