Overnight Nanny or Newborn Care Specialist - Mission Valley, San Diego, CA

First time parents in the Mission Valley area of San Diego are seeking an experienced night nanny or Newborn Care Specialist to help overnight. Mom is a doctor and has some anxiety about baby, she would like someone who is very knowledgeable, used to working with anxious moms, and can educate her on newborn care and help put her mind at ease. Baby is about 9 weeks old.

Mom will not be breastfeeding. They have a proper bed in baby’s room for the nanny/NCS.

Start Date:

Flexible, sometime in January

Schedule:

3 nights per week, open to 8-12 hours per night. Flexible on which nights of the week.

Pay Rate:

Family’s ideal pay rate is $40-$45 per hour, flexible for the right candidate

Pets in the Home:

2 dogs

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience with infants including overnight care of newborns

  • Bonus if you have a Newborn Care Specialist certification

  • Up to date on all vaccines

  • Cautious about illness and willing to wear a mask if asked, Mom is anxious about RSV and Covid

  • Experienced working with anxious first time moms, able to reassure her

  • Infant CPR certified

  • Trustline registered

  • Bonus if you are a mom yourself
