Overnight Nanny or Newborn Care Specialist - Mission Valley, San Diego, CA

First time parents in the Mission Valley area of San Diego are seeking an experienced night nanny or Newborn Care Specialist to help overnight once Mom comes home from the hospital. Mom is a doctor and feels like she is going to have a lot of anxiety about baby at first, she would like someone who is very knowledgeable, used to working with anxious moms, and can educate her on newborn care and help put her mind at ease. Baby’s grandparents will also be around and helping for at least the first few weeks of baby’s life.

Mom will not be breastfeeding. They have a proper bed in baby’s room for the nanny/NCS.

Start Date:

Baby is due October 31st. Parents would like to spend the first few nights at home alone bonding with baby.

Schedule:

3 nights per week, open to 8-12 hours per night. Flexible on which nights of the week.

Their ideal candidate would have availability to work more nights between November 8th - 16th as grandparents will be will be away

Parents would like care for at least the first 3 months of baby’s life

Pay Rate:

Family’s ideal pay rate is $40 per hour

Pets in the Home:

2 dogs

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience with infants including overnight care of newborns

  • Up to date on all vaccines

  • Cautious about illness and willing to wear a mask if asked, Mom is anxious about RSV and Covid

  • Experienced working with anxious first time moms, able to reassure her

  • Infant CPR certified

  • Trustline registered

  • Bonus if you are a mom yourself
