Full-Time Nanny/Family Assistant - San Diego + Travel

Young family is seeking an experienced, engaging nanny/family assistant to care for their preschooler and keep the household running smoothly! Their ideal candidate will be highly attentive to their child (not on their phone), plan fun crafts and activities, engage in pretend play, etc. This is a long term opportunity and they would love to find someone who can adapt with their needs over time. They highly value integrity, flexibility, and professionalism. Their parenting style is loving and kind yet firm, they believe in saying “no” and holding boundaries.

This position requires the nanny to travel with the family approximately 4 months out of the year. Separate accommodations are provided for the nanny during travel.

Location:

San Diego, CA and travel 4 months out of the year

Schedule:

Minimum 40 hours per week guaranteed. Schedule options to be discussed in interviews. Their ideal schedule includes working M-F, as well as Saturday mornings 5:30 - 9:30am. Pay rate reflects the family’s desire for flexibility.

Rate:

$40-$50 per hour paid on payroll

Children:

One child age 3 - Very well mannered, gentle child. Loves to play outside and play pretend. Very active and needs a nanny who will run around and play sports, participate in activities together.

Responsibilities:

All typical child care responsibilities - Engaging in age appropriate fun and educational activities, planning crafts and sensory activities, etc. Preparing breakfast, lunch, and snack for the child. Local outings to the park or library. Following the daily schedule for meal times, nap time, etc. Regular household responsibilities include keeping the child’s room and play room organized and tidy, laundry, loading and unloading the dishwasher, and maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen after meals. As the child does attend school, the role will also include other family assistant tasks such as meal prep, running errands, stocking groceries and other household items, organization projects, etc. Saturday mornings include making breakfast for the whole family.

Requirements:

8+ years of professional nanny experience, ideally family assistant or house manager experience as well

Willing and able to travel with the family for 4 months out of the year

Willing to do occasional overnights with advance notice

Able to make a long term , 2+ years commitment

Flexible, proactive, patient, active, and reliable

High level of professionalism, attention to detail, and career nanny mindset

Strongly prefer up to date on all vaccinations

Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record

Infant/Child CPR Certified

Trustline registered or willing to register

Able to work legally in the US
