Full-Time Nanny/Family Assistant - Rancho Santa Fe, CA
This busy family recently moved from Washington DC to Rancho Santa Fe and is seeking their forever nanny/household helper to work alongside a stay at home mom. Dad works from home, but travels frequently for work. Mom is seeking her right hand to help in the care of their 3 children (ages 8, 6, and 9 months) and keeping the household running. They describe themselves as a Type A, organized, hardworking, and health conscious family. Their ideal nanny/family assistant is someone who is proactive, observant and takes genuine ownership of helping the household run well; brings a calm, positive presence into the home: is exceptionally reliable, trustworthy, professional, patient, warm and loving.
Above all, they are hoping to find someone to trust wholeheartedly and welcome into their family for the long term. They would love to find someone who wants to grow with their family and be an important, valued part of their children's lives for many years!
*They have a pool in their backyard, must be confident in the water and able to supervise kids in the pool
*Open to discussing a live-in option as they have a guest house on their property

Schedule:
Monday - Friday, open to 35-40 hours per week guaranteed
Ideal schedule looks something like:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday from 7am - 5pm. Thursday and Friday flexible on exact hours for around 5 hours per day.
Flexibility to work in a date night is preferred.
Rate:
$28 - $33 per hour DOE, paid on payroll
Benefits:
Guaranteed hours, paid vacation, paid sick days and holidays.
Family typically travels 3-4 weeks per year, nanny will typically have this time off as well and is paid as per guaranteed hours

Boy, 8 - He is an active typical little boy, very sweet and loving. He is the more introverted child, he likes to play alone and decompress after school.
Girl, 6 - She is the social one, always seeking a playmate and wants more of the nanny’s attention after shcool.
Girl, 9 months - She is an easy going, happy baby. Sleeps and eats well, goes with the flow!

Responsibilities:
Arrive in the morning and help Mom with the morning routine, getting everyone ready for the day and out the door to school. Mom will typically do school drop off for the older children and then go do something for herself while the nanny stays home with the baby. While baby has her morning nap the nanny will help with household responsibilities such as loading/unloading the dishwasher, general tidying and organizing. When baby wakes up, engage with her in age appropriate activities, take her to play outside or go for a walk, etc. Feed her lunch, put her down for afternoon nap. During afternoon nap the nanny typically helps with family laundry and meal prepping for dinner. Mom picks up the big kids from school at 3pm and then woks alongside the nanny for the last few hours. Must be comfortable pitching where needed each day, such as taking a child to a play date or extracurricular activity, changing the sheets on the kids’ beds, or playing pretend games with the big kids.
Requirements:
3+ years of professional childcare experience
Previous experience with infants, toddlers and school aged children. Infant experience is an absolute must.
Comfortable with the mix of childcare and housework
Positive demeanor, flexible, proactive, detail oriented, and strong work ethic
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Infant/Child CPR Certified
Trustline Registered or willing to register
Able to work legally in the US
Able to commit long term, in an ideal world their nanny is with them for the next 10 years!
Able to travel with the family is a bonus
