Full-Time Nanny - Vista, CA

Dual working parents in Vista are seeking a full-time, experienced nanny to care for their sweet 11 month old boy. Their nanny who has been with them since he was 4 months old is leaving due to having her own child soon. They have had a great experience working with her are hoping to find another great fit to become a part of their family. Dad works outside the home, Mom works from home, but gives the nanny full autonomy during the day. They like to let their son explore and discover new things, figure things out for himself, and give gentle support with a lot of patience. They use redirection if he is doing something harmful or not allowed. Their ideal nanny has at least 2-3 years of experience caring for children of a similar age, is knowledgeable about child development and can work towards meeting milestones, and will be proactive with engaging him in developmentally appropriate activities. The also value reliability, punctuality, honesty, and open communication. They would love for their son to start getting more socialization and encourage taking him out for local activities and play dates. This family would like a commitment of at least 6 months, ideally a year.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday 7:40am - 4:30pm

Minimum 40 hours per week guaranteed

Rate:

$25-$28 per hour, paid on payroll

Responsibilities:

All aspects of typical childcare - Feeding bottles and solids, diapering, putting him down for naps and following his schedule. Engaging him in developmentally appropriate activities, taking him on outings to the local park or library, arranging play dates for socialization. Nanny will us their own car for transporting him with a mileage reimbursement. Household tasks related to the child such as washing his bottles, folding his laundry, cleaning his toys, and keeping his room and play areas organized and tidy.

Requirements:

3+ years of professional childcare experience

Previous experience caring for children around his age, ideally 2-3 years experience in this age group

Experience with baby led weaning

Proactive, patient, reliable, honest

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record, reliable vehicle for transporting the child

Infant/Child CPR Certified

Up to date or willing to be on vaccines (Tdap, Flu, MMR)

Trustline Registered or willing to register

Able to work legally in the US
