Full-Time Nanny - Solana Beach, CA
Dual working parents in Solana beach are seeking an experienced, nurturing nanny for their 2 year old boy and baby on the way (due in February). They value being present with their kids and want their nanny to be fully focused on engagement, exploration, and development. Their ideal candidate has a lot of energy to keep up with an active toddler, is very safety conscious, proactive, calm, patient, and loving. Collaboration and communication is important to them as well, they want to be a team with their nanny and have consistency for the children. They are looking for a long term commitment of at least 2 years (ideally longer!). Both parents work from home. Bonus if you are a mom yourself!

Schedule:
Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Rate:
$30-$34 per hour DOE, paid on payroll
Benefits:
Guaranteed hours, 2 weeks paid vacation, paid sick days and holidays.

Responsibilities:
All aspects of typical toddler care - Engaging him in developmentally appropriate activities, preparing healthy meals and snacks, maintaining his nap schedule. Taking him on outings to the park, library, etc. No screen time. Once new baby arrives, the nanny will still mainly be in charge of the 2 year old for the first 4 months while Mom takes her leave. Once Mom goes back to work fully around June, nanny will be in charge or care for both children. The 2 year old will be going to preschool 3 days per week starting in the summer as well (he is in preschool now, but they are going to pull him out soon to avoid germs for baby). Household responsibilities related to the children including their dishes, laundry, and keeping their rooms and play areas tidy. Bonus if you are willing to cook dinner for the whole family on occasion. Family can provide a car for outings with the kids, they are also ok with the nanny driving their own car with a mileage reimbursement.
Requirements:
5+ years of professional childcare experience
Previous experience caring for infants and toddlers, ideally experienced caring for siblings
Knowledge of child development and milestones
Proactive, patient, calming presence
Have a career nanny mindset and be able to make a long term commitment, potentially 3-5 years as they grow their family
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Infant/Child CPR Certified
Up to date on vaccines for Tdap, Covid, and Flu
Trustline Registered or willing to register
Able to work legally in the US
