Full-Time Nanny (6 month commitment) - San Marcos, CA

Dual working parents in San Marcos are seeing an engaging, nurturing nanny for their 15 month old daughter. Dad works outside the home as a physical therapist and Mom works from home in software sales. Grandma lives nearby and has acted as their nanny up until this point, but the time has come to hire some professional help! Their daughter has some separation anxiety when leaving Mom so their ideal nanny has experience with this and can really engage her attention and form a bond with her. They are a Christian family and describe their parenting style as gentle, but with firm boundaries.

This will be a shorter term position as the family will be moving away in September.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday 9am - 4p, 35 hours guaranteed

Rate:

$30 per hour

Children in the home:

Girl, 15 months - She loves going for walks in the neighborhood, singing songs, reading, and playing with her toys. They live in a condo and she loves to play out front in the grassy area and seeing the neighbors dog. She has developed some eczema recently.

None

Responsibilities:

All basic childcare for 15 month old including diapering, preparing snacks and lunch, putting her down for nap time. Engaging her in developmentally appropriate activities, taking her on outings in the neighborhood. Once trust is built they will be comfortable with driving her to local parks, library, etc. This role is very child focused, the only household expectations are cleaning up after yourself and the child and keeping her areas tidy.

Requirements:

3+ years of professional childcare experience including experience with toddlers

Warm and positive personality, able to form a bond with a child that has some separation anxiety

Able to commit through September

Infant/Child CPR certified

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Trustline Registered or willing to register

Able to work legally in the US
