Full-Time Nanny - Pacific Highlands Ranch Neighborhood, San Diego
Family in the Pacific Highlands Ranch neighborhood is seeking a full time nanny to focus on their 5 month old boy. They also have a 4 year old boy who is in school/daycare full time. Dad works outside the home and Mom works hybrid, usually working from home 2-3 days per week. Their ideal nanny is energetic, warm and proactive. Someone who will spend their days really engaging with their son and reading and singing to him. They also prefer a nanny who is a strong communicator, is receptive to feedback, and will be a self starter with helping out around the house during nap times. They are open to the nanny taking him on outings and driving him once trust is established. Parents describe themselves as being schedule oriented and would like the baby to be on a schedule, they track feedings and naps through an app. This is a long term position for a career nanny with potential to grow with family even after both kids are in school.
*This position requires a willingness to stay up to date on vaccines. Tdap, Covid and Flu strongly preferred.
Location:
Pacific Highlands Ranch, San Diego, CA
Schedule:
Family can offer anywhere from 30 - 50 hours per week based on your preference.
For 30 - 40 hours per week the schedule would be Monday - Thursday starting at 7:15am to anywhere from 12:30pm to 3:15pm, and
Fridays 8am - 5pm.
For 50 hours per week the schedule would be Monday - Thursday 7:15am - 5:30pm and Friday 8am - 5pm
Rate:
$28 - $32 per hour DOE, paid on payroll. Overtime as applicable.

Responsibilities:
Provide nurturing, loving care for one infant. All basic infant care duties such as diapering, feeding, following his schedule for meals and naps, tummy time. Engaging him in developmentally appropriate play and activities to promote meeting milestones. Taking him on stroller walks, parents are open to more outings and driving him over time. For the 4 year old - some help with getting him ready for school in the morning, Mom will typically drop him off, but may ask the nanny to drop him off occasionally. Child related household tasks such as children’s laundry, washing bottles and other dishes used by nanny and baby, keeping kids’ rooms and play areas clean. Parents describe themselves as clean and tidy in general so they would love help with keeping the home neat and tidy as his naps allow, things like loading/unloading the dishwasher and overall having a proactive mindset.
Requirements:
3+ years of professional childcare experience including experience with infants and toddlers
Energetic, engaging and present with the child
Strong knowledge of child development
Able to adapt to and follow parents’ preferences
Infant/Child CPR certified
Willing to stay up to date on vaccines such as Tdap, Covid, and Flu
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Safe, reliable vehicle for transporting the child.
Trustline Registered or willing to register
Able to work legally in the US
Bonus if you speak Korean and or have a college degree
