Full-Time Nanny (Live-In or Live-Out) - Carmel Valley, San Diego

Dual working parents in Carmel Valley are seeking a loving, experienced, long term nanny for their 20 month old boy and new baby on the way! They describe themselves as a quiet family, very focused on their work and being with their son when they are off, their son is the center of their attention. Mom is due with their second in December and will take at least 3 months of maternity leave, after which the nanny will care for both children. Their ideal nanny is very knowledgeable about child development, passionate about the career, safety conscious, active and able to carry their son and run around with him, organized, and proactive. They also have a very strong preference for a Spanish speaking nanny, their previous nanny spoke Spanish with their son and he is now bilingual. Both parents work mostly out of the home, Dad works from home on Fridays.

They are open to a live-in or live-out nanny, they have a separate casita on their property to offer for a live-in.

Location:

Carmel Valley area of San Diego

Schedule:

The family’s ideal schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8am - 4pm; Wednesdays and Saturdays 11am - 4 or 5pm

42-44 hours per week, will guarantee the hours agreed upon

Please still apply if you only want to work 5 days per week, open to discussing having Wednesday or Saturday off, but preference will be given to candidates who can work 6 days per week.

Rate:

$30 - $35 per hour DOE, can pay on payroll

For live-in the family prefers a rate range of $25-$30 per hour with accommodations and food provided.

Responsibilities:

All things related to the daily care of toddler such as feeding, following his nap schedule, diaper changes, engaging in developmentally appropriate play and activities. Parents appreciate a nanny who is proactive and knows a lot about child development/ages and stages and how to encourage development. Going on walks around the neighborhood or playing in the backyard. Parents prefer no driving at the start, may be open in the future. Household duties related to the child such as his laundry, his dishes, and keeping his room/play areas tidy and organized. Eventually the responsibilities will grow to include infant care after the new baby is born. Their ideal nanny is also willing to help out with general tidying and keeping especially the kitchen clean and tidy.

Requirements:

5+ years of professional childcare experience including experience with infants and toddlers

Proactive, patient, active, and extremely reliable

Strong preference for Spanish speaking nanny

Able to make a long term commitment

Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record for potential future driving

Infant/Child CPR Certified

Trustline registered or willing to register

Able to work legally in the US
