Full-Time Nanny - Carlsbad, CA
Busy family in Carlsbad is seeking a warm, energetic, collaborative nanny for their three children ages 7, 5, and 2. The older two children are in school, so the nanny’s main responsibility is the 2 year old, with school pick up and driving to a few extracurriculars for the big kids. Dad works outside the home and Mom works from home. They like to have a collaborative relationship with their nanny and work as a team. They value good communication and someone who will build a genuine relationship with their kids. They had a previous nanny who was with them for 4 years and they are still very close, they would love their kids to build that closeness and special bond with their next nanny. They try to foster their kids individual interests and give them time to explore and be creative. They are looking for a long term commitment, they would love their next nanny to stay for several years until they outgrow nanny care.

Schedule:
Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm
Flexibility for an occasional earlier start if Mom has an early meeting
Rate:
$30-$35 per hour DOE, paid on payroll

Boy, 7 - He is in school for a full day. He loves legos, robotics, and attends Code Ninjas as his extracurricular activity.
Girl, 5 - She is in school for a half day. She takes dance classes as her extracurricular activity.
Boy, 2 - He is the sweetest boy, really easy going. He has some developmental delays and works with a Physical Therapist and Speech Therapist.

Responsibilities:
For the first half of the day the nanny’s main responsibility will be care for the 2 year old including diapering, preparing snacks, engaging him in fun and developmentally appropriate activities. His physical therapist and speech therapist come to the home throughout the week, nanny will observe and participate in these sessions and pass on information to parents, as well as use the techniques learned during their time with him. The second half of the day includes school pick up for 5 year old, prepare lunch for the younger two and put them down for naps. After nap is school pick up for the oldest and driving to any extracurriculars. The nanny will have care of all 3 children for approximately 1 hour per day (3pm - 4pm). Light housework related to children such as cleaning up after yourself and the children in the kitchen and play areas, and doing the children’s laundry. Family has a housekeeper that comes weekly. Nanny will drive a family provided car to transport children, must have a clean driving record. Parents like to be informed of where their children are at all times, please be comfortable texting Mom throughout the day to let her know where you will be with the kids (such as if stopping by the library or playground after school).
Requirements:
3+ years of professional childcare experience, ideally experienced with ages 2-7 and working with multiple children at a time
Career nanny mindset and able to make a long term commitment
Infant/Child CPR certified
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Warm, energetic, and strong communication skills
Trustline Registered or willing to register
Able to work legally in the US
Bonus if you speak Spanish
